Marbled grey flesh fly (Sarcophaga carnaria)

Biology:

Marbled grey flesh flies are 10-16 mm long. They are coloured grey to black in a spotted pattern. The females do not lay eggs, but instead bear the finished larvae. Aside from this, their habitus resembles that of blue bottle flies.

Damage:

The damage caused by this species is similar to that of the blue bottle fly.
